Hello there. After half a year with no updates, we have one in Christmas day. I haven't died, and I haven't abandoned this.
But guys, I'm really sorry for this: it's very unlikely I will be able to upload anything during college periods. I'm going to upload a couple more pages through winter break, but I'm on a point of my studies where I need to focus 100% on what I'm learning, and I'm going to join a lab and look out for social work options. This comic will mostly update during college vacations, and maybe the odd page during the college term proper.
I know it's hellish slow, and I appreciate those of you who keep reading this for fun every now and then. But please understand, I get absolutely no profit from this webcomic, so while I adore each of your comments and your support, I can't drop college duties in place of the webcomic, even if I do love drawing it.
i completely understand, you focus on college. im just glad you havent abandoned the story! its a fun idea and i like seeing the progress of your art as it moves along, however slow it is! keep up the good work.
Just browsing the comics for Christmas, and I see this one uploaded. this story is always the closest to my heart, no exception, since it was the first comic I ever became interested in. It is like my birth comic. And to see it upload after so long, I screamed. I would be lying if I said I didn't feel a few tears prick the corners of my eyes. that is how special this comic is too me, which actually is probably a bit sad.
I know what it's like for school and such. You shouldn't prioritize your comic over your schoolwork, I know how that is, and I am not disappointed in that. I can only be happy that you haven't choose to give up on this story completely. I hope your studies go very well, and any page you bring us will be met with much joy and jubilation.
To be quite honest, I didn't even realize it'd been so long since the last update~
You keep doing what you need to, and no need to apologize. You seem to apologize every update about not being able to update frequently nowadays, but you have good reason and any fan should understand that. c:
After all, college and work (regardless of what kind) is important, and I'd hate to find out something like this is interfering with that, no matter how much I enjoy it or not.
Take care of yourself~
Edit: And thanks for the Christmas update as well. It's like getting another present~
Just wanted to say I've been reading this from january or so... and I can see how your art is improving. It's amazing what practice can do and you've really done it right. I hope I to see more of this story for a while, I'm in love with Ariel <3 take as long as you need, studies must always come first! (well, there's also family and... well I'm sure you know your priorities XD)
Please don't worry; there are plenty of people (including myself) who will always come back no matter how long it takes. I love this comic and will always be happy to see an update, no matter when it is. So no worries! Do what you need to do. :3
@KudaKitsune: Merry Christmas!!!!! And Happy New Year!!! ^_^ I am happy you are doing alright!!! I hope you do well in college also!!! I have heard from my family members and few friends that college is REALLY time consuming!!! I hope you also take a small break or whatever every now and then!
FYI, I really love this comic soooooo much I do re-read the pages just for a reminder on how this comic is great!!!!! :3
This is one of those times when I don't mind waiting for a comic to update, knowing that you're determined not to abandon this. I'm really glad to hear that because so many others seem to have abandoned comics I love and I don't want to lose this one as well. It will be a nice surprise to see an update every now and again, I will stick with you for however long it takes. :)
(Actually, your comic was the very first online comic I read and it opened me up to so many other wonderful stories. If I didn't happen upon it I would be missing out on all these amazing artists and their brilliant works, so thank you.~)
I'm so happy that you haven't abandoned the webcomic! ^^ it's okay and fully understandable that you have your college studies ^^ i'm truly happy, as long as i KNOW it will continue, and not just stopping ^^ no matter how long it takes :3
considering the quality of both story and art, we can easily forgive the long breaks between pages (actually, the great story alone is already enough to keep us here). Anyone who complains will have to deal with us.
Hey, hope you had a merry christmas. We all understand how hard it is to do things when college is beatin down on you. Its important you focus on your studies, and I don't think anyone will disagree. I hope you do well in school, and I will look forward to the periodic updates when you can.
It's so wonderful to see this updated. I always check in every now and then to see what the latest is, and it's good to know you don't plan on abandoning it.
If you'd like to get some profit from this you could consider putting in advertising. You have the space for non-obtrusive advertising, and I would happily disable my adblocker on your page in order to support you.
I'm sorry about college being so busy... Glad you're learning a lot, though! :D
And thanks for the update, it's nice to know that you haven't abandoned this, even if you don't update very much. :)
This comic is one that I could never delete from my favorites. A lot of times I'll get bored of a comic and delete it because it takes up space, but yours... I always look forward to every page. There's so much going on that I want to see how it will end. This comic will always be in my favorites.
Aaaaawsnaps. I missed this on Christmas day but now I get two pages for one yo. o3o This story is just too adorable for me to ever abandon, so I am quite happy that there are updates yis. College is a butt but you gotta deal with it, especially since it holds the key to the futures of many hng. GOOD LUCK WITH SCHOOL.
I wanted to say that I've been reading this comic almost since the beginning, but I don't review much, so I haven't posted anything before now. However, I must say this:
I think you're doing a good job. I like all the similarities, but I also like that there are so very many differences--that this is not simply a retelling of Disney's The Little Mermaid but with 100% more gay.
I think its great you want to just work work work and no play. More people need to be serious in life and stop taking time to smell the roses and do things fun. Real life is more important than some make believe feel good one drawn out on paper any day. We can't all be pinky pie from My Little Pony. Some of us want real jobs, for real money, to buy webcomics that actually make a profit.
Seriously though I do think its great...but seriously though you shouldn't you know throw in that you get ABSOLUTELY NO PROFIT from this comic. No emotional, psychological, profit. And its not like you were ever OFFERED profit on multiple occasions. ^^ You just keep on keeping on. You tell 'em. You'll do it when you wanna! It's your comic, not the fans >:D
Hey, it's cool. All us college student fans out here know what you're going through. Just keep on tight with your studies and when you're being too hectic with the studies and want to update a page? HEY, we are NOT going to complain! XD We'll be here. Yay-ing at every update till the end!
